Testimonials
Show-worthy — and praiseworthy
“25 million stars, hands down. We recently purchased a lovely young horse we saw in a video from Frowning Cactus, and Darian was nothing but honest and easy to work with. All our questions were answered thoroughly and to the best of her ability. We expected a nice horse with a good mind, and our expectations were met tenfold. The horse is lovely to ride and be around, and he’s beautiful, happy-go-lucky, and so talented. Thankful we found this exceptional farm. We will be return buyers.”
Rare, Authentic & Refined
The Frowning Cactus name and logo were inspired by the unique brand that marked “Tribute,” the first beloved quarter horse owned by the Smith family. While the mark wasn’t called Frowning Cactus, family members thought the brand resembled one, and the name stuck.
Today, the Frowning Cactus name represents one of the nation’s premier Hunter Jumper training facilities for young horses. Located on 160-acres of prime ranch land in the shadow of Colorado’s spectacular Sangre de Cristo mountains and just seven miles from the Arkansas River, Frowning Cactus offers the height of equestrian sophistication within an authentic western mountain ranch setting.
